Manchester City to Replace Sergio Aguero
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester City are reportedly trying to end the togetherness of Portuguese striker Joao Felix with Atletico Madrid in the midst of a growing situation regarding Sergio Aguero’s status.
Manchester City are focused on finding a replacement for Sergio Aguero. The Argentine player’s contract will expire this summer.
One of the names on the top of the list is Joao Felix. The Atletico Madrid player is considered suitable to replace Aguero.
Joao Felix is no stranger to Man City. The Citizens had tried to bring Joao Felix while he was still strengthening Benfica. Unfortunately, the 21-year-old prefers to go to Atletico Madrid.
Currently, Joao Felix’s position at Atletico is being questioned. Although Los Rojiblancos lead the LaLiga standings, Joao Felix’s role is considered to be not optimal.
The spotlight is instead given to the new striker, Luis Suarez. In addition, Diego Simeone prefers Angel Correa as Suarez’s companion on the front lines.
However, this does not mean that the road to Man City is easy. Joao Felix is still under contract until 2026.
It is predicted that Atletico Madrid will not sell Joao Felix below the purchase price. Atletico spent 126 million euros to get Joao Felix.
Inevitably, Manchester City began to prepare funds according to Atletico Madrid’s wishes. With financial support from the owner, Man City is believed to have no trouble.
Have Another Target
On the other hand, Manchester City also have several other targets. The strikers are no less attractive than Joao Felix.
Two young players, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, are also rumored to make Manchester City fall in love. In addition, there is still the name Lionel Messi, which is a special request from Pep Guardiola.
It doesn’t stop there, Man City is reportedly also eyeing two Inter Milan attackers, Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
