Manchester City’s emergency meeting

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Manchester City immediately held an emergency meeting after receiving sanctions from UEFA related to FFP violations.

Responding to the sanction of a ban for two consecutive seasons in the European competition and a 30 million euro fine, Man City summoned the team squad and coaching staff at an emergency meeting to discuss the effects of the sanctions.

The news was reported by the Telegraph writer, Ferran Soriano. Man City explained to the players that they would try their best to appeal through CAS, however, they also explained the things that might happen if the sentence remained in force.

UEFA has sanctioned City with severe penalties as they were allegedly committing two serious violations: deceiving UEFA’s financial investigating agency with false reports and involving a third party (a company in Abu Dhabi) in a full player transfer in the transfer market.

The impact that can occur is great. In addition to losing huge income from participation in the Champions League, the club’s reputation would also be tarnished, not to mention the potential for the player’s exodus and the departure of the manager, Pep Guardiola.

No doubt Man City have called in all players to picture the future related to sanctions. The players were called through the WhatsApp group chat after an announcement from UEFA at lunchtime, Saturday (15/02) local time.

If the sanctions apply, the club will rearrange their internal situation to balance out the balance sheet. One of the effects was allegedly losing profits received by the club annually. Therefore, there is the potential for changes in player salaries.

Man City wants to keep their top players in the current squad. However, they also understand the situation and will not restrain the departure of players who want to leave the Etihad Stadium.
