Marcelo Bielsa will Extend his Contract with Leeds United

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Executive Chairman of Leeds United, Angus Kinnear reported that the manager, Marcelo Bielsa will extend his contract. Bielsa’s contract expired after Leeds won the promotional ticket.

This news is encouraging for Leeds fans. This is because the 64-year-old coach has a reputation for never having worked at club level with a duration of more than two seasons throughout his career.

Kinnear admitted that he is optimistic that Bielsa will be willing to accompany Leeds in their first season back in the Premier League.

“I just need to find the right time to put the contract paper in front of him and he will sign it,” Kinnear told Sky Sports.

“I know the fans are worried about this situation, it rubs off on me as well. But I think we have no reason to feel this way,” he added.

Kinnear also admitted that he communicates regularly with Bielsa every day. However, the theme of their conversation covered more about training and preparation for the new season rather than contract extensions.

“Marcelo is very focused on the team training phase, but like last season when a lot of people were worried about his contract, so this is the time he is given time to concentrate on agreeing a new contract,” stated Kinnear.

Leeds are scheduled to visit the headquarters of defending champions, Liverpool on September 12 for the opening weekend.
