Isco
DBasia.news – Isco wasn’t listed when Real Madrid played against AS Roma on the 5th match of 2018-2019 Champions League. Madrid coach Santiago Solari didn’t put him on the squad leaving to Italy.
Regarding the status of his teammate, Marcelo criticized him instead. Marcelo said that Isco didn’t work hard enough to get the position within the main squad.
“Everyone wants to play. I’m not someone to give out advice. All of us are adults, we are fathers, we have families and we need to know how to be professional,” Marcelo said cited by Sport.
“If you want to play then you must work. I’m not saying that he (Isco) is not working but when you see you have made a mistake you must improve.”
At the beginning of this season, Real Madrid expected Isco to give a huge contribution after Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit. But, after the 2018 World Cup, Isco failed to perform his best and unable to compete for the main squad position.
Real Madrid won the match against Roma 2-0. Madrid secure the position as the Champions League Group G table leader and qualify for the knock-out round.
