Mark Noble accused Jesse Lingard of diving

DBasia.news – West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble has commented on the alleged foul he committed against Jesse Lingard against Manchester United. Noble accused him of deliberately diving.

In the third round match of the English League Cup, Manchester United suffered a painful defeat at home to West Ham United at Old Trafford, Thursday (23/9) am, WIB. In that match, the Hammers managed to win with a narrow score of 1-0 thanks to a goal scored by Manuel Lanzini in the ninth minute.

Despite West Ham’s win, in the 11th minute, Man United claimed they should have deserved a penalty after Jesse Lingard was brought down by Mark Noble in the box. However, Noble denied that he had committed a foul and said that Lingard, who was also his former team-mate in the second half of last season, had dived.

“No, that’s football. Lingard was diving and I told him to shut up because he was screaming about it. The funny thing is he didn’t do that when he was at our turf,” Noble told Sky Sports.

“We burst out laughing on the pitch today and I love Jesse, he’s a great character.”

On the same occasion Noble also commented on the victory his team won in the match. Although David Moyes rested some of his pillar players, the Hammers were able to win what they claimed they deserved.

“This is what football gives you. The last few days have been challenging but you have to put your shoes back on and play.”

“I think the boys played fantastically. You could call it an incredible B team pairing because the manager has changed the whole team, but our young players are fantastic for their level of hard work, they deserved this result.”
