Martin Odegaard Expects to Play with Real Madrid

DBasia.news – The former Stromsgodset player, Martin Odegaard, came to Real Madrid when he was just 16 because he is considered to have a bright future to be a top football player.
However, the fact on the pitch said the contrary. Odegaard can’t qualify for the main squad of Los Blancos. Moreover, during the three consecutive seasons, the Norway player must join the Eredivisie competition (for SC Heerenveen and Vitesse) after El Real decided to set him on loan.
Three seasons in the Netherlands, he thinks now is the right time to play for Real Madrid senior squad. Bluntly, the 19-year-old is disappointed by El Real who haven’t trusted him yet.
“Of course, I hoped that I would have a place in Real’s team. I was training all summer long and got some minutes in the first team,” Odegaard said quoted by Football Espana.
“At the end of the summer, the club and I decided that it would be better for me to play elsewhere. That would be the best choice for my own development.”
Despite the situation, Odegaard shows his ambition to play at Santiago Bernabeu in the future. His confidence is also boosted after El Real renew the contract for him.
“My goal is clear: I want to play for Real Madrid. I do everything for that. My contract has already been renewed. I take that as a sign of trust,” he concluded.
