Matteo Darmian: Marcus Rashford could win the Ballon D’Or
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Parma player, Matteo Darmian, shared some of his experiences with Manchester United. He was impressed when he saw Marcus Rashford for the first time.
Darmian was asked about the player who impressed him the most during his 4 seasons with Manchester United. At first he mentioned Wayne Rooney, but he remembered there was one more player who impressed him, Rashford.
“There are other players (besides Rooney) who impressed me. I still remember Rashford doing his first training session with the senior team. Wow he is a great player. He did so many impressive things for a player his age and the way he developed in every detail really impressed me, “Darmian stated as quoted by The Guardian.
Darmian even said that Rashford could reach Kylian Mbappe’s level and compete for the Ballon d’Or.
“If he continues to work the way he has done so far, he can become the winner of Ballon d’Or. I am sure of this. He impressed me the most out of all the players at United and he is still very young and can still develop. “For me he can reach the level of Kylian Mbappe and compete for the Ballon d’Or in the years to come,” Darmian added.
Matteo Darmian was brought in from Torino in 2015, along with Marcus Rashford who was promoted to United’s senior team.
