Matteo Guendouzi Called in the French national team squad

DBasia.news –  Arsenal have not been consistent at the start of the 2019/20 season. The Gunners lost to Liverpool (1-3) and then drew at the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur (2-2).

But it seems that this does not affect the performance of one of the team’s mainstay players, Matteo Guendouzi, the player who was bought in the summer of 2018 has always been the main choice of Unai Emery.

Seeing the consistency of Guendouzi, the French national team coach, Didier Deschamps then put his name into the squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers, this certainly makes the player surprised because this is the first senior national team call.

“I was taking a nap and then someone knocked on the door of the room, at first I did not hear it because I was sleeping,” Guendouzi said as quoted by the Mirror.

“Then the coach (Sylvain Ripoll) called and said that he knocked on the door of the room. I then immediately met him and he said ‘I like you, but you have to go now.’ I was really confused and then automatically asked ‘Where?’ He said ‘Team A’ (France’s senior national team)” he added.

“I do not believe it, especially 10 minutes ago still asleep. I even thought that this (a call to join the senior national team) was just a dream. But then the coach invited me to speak again and now I am here. This is a dream come true.”

The French national team will fight Albania at the Stade de France on Sunday (8/9) and Andorra on Wednesday (11/9) early morning Western Indonesian Time.
