During his play, Edwin van der Sar had played for several of Europe’s top teams. Call it Ajax, Juventus, and Manchester United he once defended.
After retiring, Edwin van der Sar worked for Ajax. Now, Van der Sar has served as an official of the former team he had been since 2016.

“Matthijs de Ligt has a mentality and he has a desire to continue to work hard. De Ligt wants to be the best player in the world,” said Edwin van der Sar.
“I’ve seen players like him. Matthijs de Ligt has played with him at Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo. I played with him at Manchester United.”
“Cristiano Ronaldo works hard and wants to be the best, he has the same passion with Matthijs de Ligt. Now De Ligt is only 19 years old,” he added.
Edwin van der Sar supported Matthijs de Ligt for success at Juventus. Van der Sar thinks De Ligt only needs time to be able to adapt in Italy.
