Miralem Pjanic Again Attacks Ronald Koeman’s Position at Barcelona

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Miralem Pjanic argues, Barcelona need a new coach to be successful again. The former Barca player again attacked coach Ronald Koeman.

Barcelona’s conditions are far from ideal. After being unbeaten in the first three games, Barcelona are in freefall having won just one of the following six matches and suffered three defeats.

To make matters worse, the Blaugrana also struggled to find the net after only scoring one goal in that poor run. Barca couldn’t even score against a weak team like Cadiz.

Barcelona’s poor performance is believed to make Koeman’s coach seat unsafe. Although his future was in doubt after the defeat to Atletico Madrid, Koeman received assurances from Barca president Joan Laporta.

Pjanic himself is on loan to Besiktas for the entire 2020/2021. The Bosnia-Herzegovina star has shown his disappointment with Koeman after being missed in his first season. Pjanic doesn’t seem convinced Koeman is the right person to get Barca back on track.

“[Barcelona] are going through difficult times. The results didn’t go the way the fans wanted, which put pressure on the players,” he told BeIN Sports.

“Maybe a good leader is needed to return them to their place. Barcelona will return to the way it was in the past, but it will take time,” continued the former AS Roma and Juventus star.

“Barca has always been one of the four or five biggest clubs in the world and they are going back to their prime,” Pjanic believes.
