Modric and Kovacic Won’t Regret Staying in Real Madrid

DBasia.news – Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui tried to persuade Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic to stay. Lopetegui assumed the two players won’t regret the decision to stay in El Real.
Modric was the important part of Real Madrid’s performance within past years. Besides that, the Croatia national team player was succeeded to present some prestigious titles to Los Blancos like Champions League trophies in three consecutive years.
But, the futures of the players are still questionable as the Inter Milan’s interest. Moreover, Modric felt his cycle in El Real has come to an end.
However, on the other hand, Florentino Perez tried to ease the situation by stating that Modric won’t be sold if the offer doesn’t exceed 750 million euro.
“The president (Florentino Perez) was clear and unequivocal. We’re in no doubt at all that Modric is going to continue playing for us just as he has been,” Lopetegui said reported by Goal.com.
“My conversations with the club are private, but we are fully on the same page,” he said.
Meanwhile, the same thing happened to Mateo Kovacic. The player couldn’t stand any longer becoming starting lineup. Moreover, Kovacic was rumored absent in purpose from the training session until his future becomes clear.
“He trained normally. Mateo is a member of the squad, and I am delighted with him,” he continued.
“My understanding is that both are happy to be here.”
Real Madrid are in problem of squad composition. Previously, El Real loss Cristiano Ronaldo who joined Juventus. Meanwhile, some other target players like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Eden Hazard, and Thibaut Courtois didn’t join until now.
