Munich coach Niko Kovac apologizes for criticizing Thomas Mueller
By db-admin
DBasia.news – The situation of the Bayern Munich dressing room became tense, after the relationship of two important figures for Bayern Munich, namely Thomas Mueller as a senior player and Niko Kovac as the coach who was rumored to be tenuous.
This issue cannot be separated from Niko Kovac’s previous comments which had touched on the minutes of playing Thomas Mueller. One of the senior players who has stayed at the Allianz Arena this season is in a bad period because it is rarely played by the coach.
Aware of what was said wrong, Kovac finally apologized. He claimed the error had made a statement that could provoke players. He also claimed to have spoken directly to Mueller.
“I can’t say who will play as I said before and that was my mistake. I misarticulated thoughts, but I refute the statement with the fact that Thomas has played before,” he told Bild on Thursday (10/17/2019).
“I talked to Thomas the next day. Everything is settled and he understands what I mean,” he added.
Thomas Mueller’s minutes of playing drained out this season. Just imagine, he only played once as a starter in the Bundesliga. Even minimal opportunities affect their productivity in the field.
From a total of 10 matches played in all competitions, the Bayern Munich academy dropout player has only scored one goal and only four assists. This situation also makes his name often rumored to be leaving the Allianz Arena next January.
