DBasia.news – The players of Ligue 1 are still the target of Europe big clubs. One of them is Lille player, Nicolas Pepe, who is the target of Arsenal and Barcelona. He might leave in January.
However, Les Dogues coach Christophe Galtier confirmed that the player who scored 12 goals from 19 Ligue 1 matches will stay in Lille until the season ends. Moreover, Nicolas Pepe confirmed that.
Even though he would be at Stade Pierre-Maurroy until the end of the season, the 23-year-old player dropped the hint for the clubs that he might leave during the summer transfer market.
“As the president (Michel Seydoux) said, I decided to finish the season in Lille and, at the end of it, nothing will be done.”
“I am under contract until 2022. I have the idea to end this season in Lille and why not (secure) a European place? It would be beautiful,” Pepe said quoted by Sky Sports.
If Barca and The Gunners really want to sign him, both teams must spend 80 million euro because the club would only let him go in a high price tag.
