Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s response to the Manchester United striker crisis

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has no regrets about releasing Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan, even though Manchester United is currently in a striker crisis.

Manchester United lost again after West Ham United’s two goals without reply. It was the second time of the Red Devils in the 2019-2020 Premier League.

Already fallen stricken by a ladder, Manchester United had to lose Marcus Rashford who suffered an injury. Several media outlets in the UK began to speculate that the Rashford period would be absent.

“I don’t know how bad Rashford’s injury is. I am not a doctor,” Solskjaer said, as reported by Sky Sports.

“He will conduct an examination tomorrow. I will discuss it when I have more information,” said the Norwegian manager.

Rashford’s injury left Man United’s front row in crisis. Previously, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood first entered the recovery room.

“Hopefully we can play Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial faster. Rashford’s injury is not appropriate today because the other two players are absent,” explained the manager.

One thing that is related to Solskjaer’s attitude is to hold fast to the view that selling Romelu Lukaku and lending Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan is not the root of the problem.

In fact, for a team like Man United who will appear in four competitions, it is appropriate to have a depth of the squad in the ranks of the bangers. Solskjaer considers Man United to hang hopes on the 17-year-old player, Mason Greenwood. If it’s like this, Solskjaer needs to prove that his choice to let Lukaku and Sanchez go is not a mistake. If it fails, it is not impossible the legend to follow in the footsteps of Jose Mourinho that was expelled from Old Trafford.
