One Step Closer for Real Madrid in Signing Valencia Player
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Valencia football director Mateu Alemany emphasized that Real Madrid have to activate the release clause of Rodrigo Moreno worth 120 million euro (Rp2 trillion) if they want to get him during the 2018 summer transfer market. However, Alemany optimists Rodrigo will stay.
Real Madrid took a move ahead of the transfer market closing. After recruiting Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea, this time The Blues set the target on Valencia striker, Rodrigo Moreno.
Rodrigo Moreno is the direct request from the coach Julen Loeptegui. Previously, Lopetegui and Moreno collaborated in the U23 Spain national team. Besides, Lopetegui also brought the player to the 2018 World Cup.
Alemany admitted it would be difficult to stop Real Madrid in signing Rodrigo. Moreover, the 27-year-old player could be released with a 120 million euro price tag.
“I’m not in contact with them (Real Madrid). If they offer €120 million, there’s nothing we can do, but Rodrigo seems to be very happy and motivated here,” Alemany told BeIn SPORT.
Rodrigo’s role in the front line of Valencia is really vital. Last season, the player scored 19 goals and 7 assists in 44 matches. “Rodrigo is very important for us and we want him to stay,” Alemany continued.
Valencia got Rodrigo Moreno from Benfica with £27M during early July 2015. In the first match of 2018-2019 LaLiga, Rodrigo scored one goal.
