DBasia.news – Photos of burning and damaged vehicles near Paris’ fame, Champs-Elysees, emerged after Paris Saint-Germain’s defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final this morning (24/8).

Thousands of PSG fans gathered near the iconic venue to watch the final match and had to be heartbroken because their team fell 1-0 to Bayern through the lone goal of their former club player, Kingsley Coman.

Photographs from photographers show riots occurring after the match, with images showing firefighters extinguishing flames in vehicles, while another car is also seen upside down.

There were also several supporters throwing flares inside the Champs-Elysees, while the trash cans were also seen burning as the PSG fans gathered in large numbers.

France is still under threat of a coronavirus pandemic with fans still gathering both at the Champs-Elysees and also at the PSG Parc des Princes headquarters, even though Paris is in the status of the Covid-19 red zone.

PSG was not without opportunities in the match against Bayern, with Kylian Mbappe missing an opportunity when receiving Ander Herrera’s pass, while Neymar’s one-on-one chance was also thwarted by Manuel Neuer.

Then, the former PSG academy product, Coman, managed to break the deadlock in the 59th minute, gore in Joshua Kimmich’s cross and finally became the only goal for Bayern’s victory.

PSG now have less than a week to recover from the defeat and prepare for the 2020/21 season with Thomas Tuchel’s squad facing Lens on August 30. Lens themselves have played their first match and lost to Nice by a score of 2-1.
