Pep Guardiola Affirms Manchester City will Recruit Players in January 2020 because of Injuries

DBasia.news – Despite worries regarding Manchester City’s injury storm, Pep Guardiola remains adamant that the club would not recruit new players in January 2020.
Aymeric Laporte is still sidelined due to an ACL injury has made City’s defender only left with John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi in stock. In some matches, Guardiola has several times decided to shift other players such as Fernandinho and Rodri.
Unfortunately the last name was actually injured when City won over Atalanta in the Champions League. “Yes, I’m a little worried because in some positions we lack players,” Guardiola said as quoted by Sky Sports, Saturday (10/26/2019).
Despite not having a stock of defenders, the Catalan coach apparently did not want to hunt in the transfer market next winter.
“We will not hunt for players in the January transfer window. I think we will not bring in new players, “stated the former Barcelona coach.
Guardiola is likely to optimize his current players and try to provide opportunities for a number of young City players. According to Guardiola, he did not want to waste the money to bring in new players.
“The needs of this club are not only short term. Most importantly there are no players to be sold. And I’m sure we can survive until the end of this season, “concluded Pep.
