Pep Guardiola: Ederson is Man City’s Best Penalty Executor
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has continued to consider goalkeeper, Ederson to, take the penalty kick at the next opportunity. Guardiola believes that Ederson is the best penalty executor.
Manchester City won 1-0 when they visited the Sheffield United headquarters at Bramall Lane in the 2019-2020 Premier League continuing match, Tuesday (21/1). The Citizens’ only goal was scored by Sergio Aguero.
However, the failure of Gabriel Jesus to score a goal through the white point in the 35th minute was in the spotlight. This is the third time Jesus has failed to execute a penalty.
In the last few seasons, the failure of Manchester City to score from a penalty is considered to be reasonable. The Citizens relied too much on Sergio Aguero as the executor.
However, it turns out that Sergio Aguero is not the best penalty executor at Manchester City. At least, according to the opinion of Pep Guardiola who mentioned Ederson’s name.
“Things like this (failing to execute a penalty) are common in football. The best penalty executor in Manchester City? Ederson,” said Pep Guardiola.
“Believe me. Ederson is the most appropriate person when he gets the penalty kick. Ederson is the best penalty executor.”
“In my opinion, Ederson does not have blood in his brain, he is very calm when executing a penalty. He can score goals,” added Pep Guardiola.
In the last season alone, Ederson has expressed his desire to take a
penalty kick. Unfortunately he has not scored through the white point for
Manchester City.
