Persib Captain: Haringga’s Tragedy Must Not Be Repeated

DBasia.news – Persib captain Supardi Nasir mentioned the attack to Haringga Sirla to death should never happen again. Not only in the match between Persib vs Persija, but also in other matches.

“I think a logical human won’t do such attacks. We condemn this tragedy. No more incident like this. Anyone, not only Bobotoh and Jakmania, please be respectful to others. Don’t just for blind fanatism requires a life, it’s beyond logic. Everyone condemns this,” Supardi emphasized.

Supardi admits that this incident gave a shock to the players’ psychology. They initially could have the euphoria of the victory against Persija.

“The euphoria just happened 5 minutes. After hopping to the bus, receiving the news, everybody is silenced and there was no more euphoria. We trained today, the coach asked me, is there any problem? I said I’m thinking about the incident. He understands and hopes the solution will be revealed soon, and not influencing the team. We are shocked,” he said.

Hence, Supardi hopes the incident will be a lesson to prevent further tragedy.

“This should be a lesson for all supporters, in the near future will be a match between Persebaya and Arema. Don’t let this happen again. Especially Bobotoh, I trust you all. Support in a positive way, by contribution and prayer. If you kill others, it’s not a pride, it’s stupid. For all Indonesian supporters, please unite, for our future,” he concluded.

Persib Bandung manager Umuh Muchtar and the players, coach, and team officials had a prayer and flower-spreading near the location of Haringga Sirla’s death at the parking blue gate area of GBLA Stadium on Tuesday (25/9).

The victim was a person from Cengkareng, West Jakarta, died after the attacks from Bobotoh before the match between Persib against Persija in 2018 Liga 1 at GBLA Stadium, Bandung, Sunday (23/9).

Persib manager Umuh Muchtar admits that he can’t sleep after the tragedy happened to Haringga, Persija Jakarta supporter.

“Hopefully this will be the last. This is shameful. Moreover, Persib are in top standing. Everyone knows that the champion is close, but this incident interferes with it. The winning against Persija became flat,” Umuh regrets.
