Blitar United
DBasia.news – Persiwa Wamena must take their way to the Liga 3 next season. The 1-3 defeat against Blitar United ensured them to leave the Liga 2.
The confirmation was related closely with the 7 points achievement by the PPLM players. There are only four weeks left with 19 maximum points, won’t surpass Persiba Balikpapan who stay in the bottom part of east area degradation zone with 20 points.
However, Suimin Diharja gave his highest appreciation for Munawir Basri and friends for the maximum struggle in the recent 18 matches.
“Regardless of the minus 6 points sanction, I appreciate all the players. They played wholeheartedly, with the willingness to finish the match,” the Persiwa Wamena coach revealed.
He also emphasized to fight despite the position that is no longer in Liga 2 competition this season. The four remaining matches will be used to enhance the skill and to add playing minute to the squad.
“We have three home matches and one away. Thus, I will give the chance for benched players,” he concluded.
Persiwa actually can still use their chance to pass the degradation zone. But, Persiwa’s power is unequal to Blitar United, moreover, 7 main squad players got the sanction from PSSI disciplinary committee after the referee attack in the match against Persegres Gresik United, September 15.
“Playing without 7 main players is really affecting us. But, we will try our best,” the former coach of PSMS Medan and Sriwijaya FC explained.
