Players Who Failed to Move to Another Club on the Summer Transfer Market
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Drama and exciting stories from the 2019 summer transfer market are still being discussed today, even though the transfer market in Europe has ended.
Some of the transfers that have taken place are unique and unexpected because they had never been predicted before. However, there are also five players who allegedly – even some of them – already openly want to leave the old club.
Following BolaSkor.com collected five names of players who failed to change clubs in the 2019 summer transfer window:
1. Paul Pogba
On preseason tour Paul Pogba once said he wanted to start a new challenge as interest from Real Madrid and Juventus. His name also continued to be connected with Madrid throughout the summer. However, until the season begins and the transfer window closes, Pogba stays at Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old midfielder remained professional with Manchester United in his second period of strengthening the club. Pogba allegedly stayed at least another season with the Red Devils.
2. Christian Eriksen
The day after the summer transfer window closed, Christian Eriksen said his hopes for the world of football were as easy as playing a soccer simulation game “Football Manager”. This means his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
However, until the transfer window ends, the 27-year-old midfielder fails to move from the club he has strengthened from 2013. Tottenham has the opportunity to lose Eriksen for free at the end of the season because his contract expires next year.
3. Neymar
The transfer saga was tiring. Throughout the summer Neymar continued to be discussed with Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona. The latter club is said to be a priority for the 27-year-old.
However, Neymar has not moved anywhere and has remained with PSG, the club he has defended from 2017. There are indications that the Brazilian star will try to be recruited by Barcelona in 2020.
4. Dejan Lovren
Since losing out to compete with Joel Matip as a tandem Virgil van Dijk in the heart of Liverpool’s defense, Dejan Lovren continues to be associated with rumors of leaving the Reds. After five years strengthening Liverpool, it’s only natural that Dejan Lovren wants to leave.
Unfortunately, the Croatian defender did not change clubs until the summer transfer window ended. Lovren was once associated with AS Roma.
5. Bruno Fernandes
The prolific midfielder from Portugal has said goodbye to his teammates and fans at Sporting Lisbon. However, in the end, Bruno Fernandes did not leave Sporting despite being linked with two Premier League clubs: Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, plus one Spanish club, Real Madrid.
