Pushing Deputy During Match, Frank Ribery Sanctioned for 3 Games

DBasia.news –  The FIGC has already sentenced Franck Ribery. He was banned from playing in three Serie A matches. This sentence was also received by the president of Fiorentina, Rocco Commisso.

Franck Ribery was sentenced to a three-match ban after pushing the assistant referee while the Fiorentina v Lazio match ended. In that match, La Viola lost 1-2 through a last-minute goal scored by Ciro Immobile.

Rocco Commiso also acknowledged the error of his players. But he asked all parties to forget the incident and look to the next match.

“We received Ribery’s sentence, so let’s forget about the case because it’s over. I apologize for him because he is the best player in Serie A and what has happened on the field,” Commisso told Radio Toscana, Wednesday (10/30/2019).

“When I played I never agreed with the referee. People love me even if we don’t win matches, but we hope to win again. I saw the players losing enthusiasm, especially Ribery. “It was a bad day for the red card and also injuries to Lirola and Caceres,” he continued.

The Frenchman’s anger peaked because he was not satisfied with the referee’s decision to end Ciro Immobile’s goal at the last minute. According to the Fiorentina camp, the goal should have been annulled because a previous violation had taken place.
