Rodri Exposes the Tactical Foul in the style of Manchester City

DBasia.news –  Pep Guardiola is accused of using dirty tactics. Rodriguez aka Rodri, Manchester City’s new player also revealed that since he joined his newest club, he learned what is called “tactical foul”.

West Ham United architect, Manuel Pellegrini, was the last to criticize the tactics adopted by Man City. Pellegrini had accused Guardiola of using tactics to commit planned violations to disrupt the rhythm of the game.

“Every time we try to approach the penalty box, they commit a foul,” Pellegrini said after his team lost 0-5 in mid-August.

“If you look back at the match, that is the reason why we didn’t obtain many chances in the first half,” Pellegrini explained as reported by The Guardian.

“All the moments of our attack in the opponent’s area ended in violation. You can see the statistics. They committed 13 violations, we only had five.”

Similar accusations were made by former Manchester United player, Gary Neville. Neville saw City deliberately fouling to stop the game. But Guardiola had denied all allegations.

“We tried to play, of course we commit violations. We never focus on making mistakes to opponents,” Guardiola said.

Now, after Guardiola’s rebuttal, whether intentional or not, Rodri actually issued a statement that justifies the accusation.

When asked about the challenges he experienced after joining Man City, Rodri answered that he had difficulty as he had to play in a new position. The player whose full name is Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante explained that one of the new aspects he learned at Man City was “tactical foul”.

“I think all positions are important and have their own portions. However, my task is very challenging because we are a very offensive team. On the positive side, I can learn a lot of new things. When to help attack, when to maintain position, and when to do ‘tactical foul’ to keep the tempo of the match, “Rodri said in an interview with ESPN FC.
