Romagnoli Ready to Replace Chiellini in the Italian National Team
By db-admin
DBasia.news – AC Milan defender, Alessio Romagnoli, claimed that he was ready to replace Giorgio Chiellini in the Italian national team.
Chiellini had to be sidelined due to an injury while training with Juventus. This has forced him to be absent for six months.
Romagnoli was later chosen to appear as a tandem for Leonardo Bonucci in the heart of the Italian defense while overcoming Armenian resistance 3-1 in the 2020 European Cup qualifiers.
“We always have to develop and be ready when called upon,” Romagnoli stated.
“Chiellini is a fantastic player and a great player. He helped me a lot in international assignments and I, or whoever replaces him, will do the best to make up for his absence, “Romagnoli added.
Romagnoli has bagged ten caps for Gli Azzurri, since making his debut in 2016. While with Milan, he has made 152 appearances for four seasons with the Rossoneri.
