Coutinho could enter Arsenal’s target list because of Mikel Arteta’s instructions. Coutinho’s game is believed to be still capable even though he is not a core player at Bayern and has clearly failed miserably at Barca.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to borrow Coutinho with a permanent purchase option. Of course they will try to negotiate with Barca regarding prices, it must be as minimal as possible.

At first Barca were interested, they just wanted to take off the burden like Coutinho. However, Koeman didn’t seem like he wanted to rush.

Koeman came to Barca hoping to carry out a massive rebuilding project. He will cut several players, but there is a possibility that Coutinho will be given another chance.

As a result, Arsenal’s hopes of obtaining Coutinho were getting smaller. Koeman’s voice must be heard if Barca really wanted to rise from adversity.

Even though it is getting smaller, Arsenal’s hopes have not been completely dashed. Right after Bayern’s championship celebration, Coutinho talked a little about his future.

“I haven’t thought about [the future]. I have to come back [to Barca] and have to work hard to have a good year. I’m not sure if it’s at Barcelona or not,” stated Coutinho.

This means that even if Koeman wants him to return home, the decision is still up to Coutinho. This gap can be used by Arsenal.
