Ronaldo is immortalized in the form of a chocolate statue
By db-admin
Cristiano Ronaldo again received the honor, he was immortalized in the form of a chocolate statue. The tribute was made in Switzerland.
Ronaldo has been immortalized several times in the form of sculptures in recent years. Starting from the wax statue in the Madame Tussauds Museum, to the controversial head statue of himself by artist Ricardo Velosa in 2014.
This time, the statue of the Portuguese star was re-made. However, this artwork is different from a sculpture in general because it is made from chocolate which is commonly consumed as food.
Ronaldo’s chocolate statue was made by a chocolate craftsman from Portugal, Jorge Cardoso. He made a statue as high as 1.87 meters with a weight of 120 kg.
Cardoso built the statue at the Suard chocolate factory in Givisiez, Switzerland, a country known for its chocolate delicacy. In total, he spent 200 hours to make the artwork.
Ronaldo’s brown statue is carved in as much detail as possible to the original. Starting from the CR7 Portugal national team costume when bringing Seleccao das Quinas to win the 2016 European Cup, to the Juventus striker’s shoes and socks.
Related to the reason for building a Ronaldo chocolate statue, Cardoso admitted if he was a big fan of the Portugal national team captain. In addition, he also wants everyone to see what can be done with chocolate, a food ingredient that is very attached to his life.
“In addition to being both Portuguese, he is also a fan of himself. Ronaldo is currently the fruit of his hard work, effort, and dedication so far,” Cardoso said.
The brown statue of Ronaldo is on display at Givisiez, Switzerland, to coincide with the 35th birthday of CR7 on February 5. The artwork will be there for two weeks, before being brought back to Portugal for a carnival.
