DBasia.news – Former Schalke right-back, Hiannick Kamba was found in good health after being rumored to have died four years ago. Kamba is a former teammate of Manuel Neuer, while at the Schalke academy.
Kamba was rumored to be dead in 2016 due to a car accident at the age of 29. But uniquely, four years later (2020) Kamba was found in good health and worked in Gelsenkirchen.
The Congolese man works as a chemical medicine technician at an energy supply company. Kamba was in the Schalke academy youth team from 1991 to 2001 before spending much of his career in the lower division teams such as SV Zweckel, SG Borken, and Recklinghausen.
As a result of the investigation carried out over alleged cases of embezzlement of Kamba’s death report made by his ex-wife. It is suspected that his wife falsified the report in order to receive a guarantee from the insurance company. The prosecutor started investigating because of it.
“The defendant was accused of fraud, but he denied the facts. The process is still ongoing,” Anette Milk, the Prosecutor, told Bild.
“(Kamba) stated that his friends had left him at night while on a trip to the inland of Congo in January 2016 and they had taken his letters, money and telephone.”
Playing as a right back, Kamba and his parents fled the Congo in 1986 but his family was deported back to Africa in 2005. Kamba was allowed to stay in Germany because of his status as a young Schalke player.
