DBasia.news – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was disappointed with VAR after Manchester United lost to Aston Villa. Solskjaer said that Kortney House’s Villa goal was offside.

MU suffered its first defeat in the Premier League this season after falling at the hands of Aston Villa. Competing at Old Trafford, Saturday (25/9/2021) evening, WIB, the Red Devils lost 0-1.

Kortney Hause broke into David De Gea’s goal in the 88th minute. He headed Douglas Luiz’s corner kick.

MU actually had a chance to equalize at the end of the match after receiving a penalty following Hause’s handball. However, Bruno Fernandes’ execution did show result after his shot bounced over the goal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Hause’s goal should have been offside because of Ollie Watkins’ position. The Norwegian manager regretted the failure of VAR in viewing the incident.

“The VAR decision cost us again, unfortunately,” Solskjaer told MUTV after the game as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

“The goal was offside. When Hause headed it, Waktkins actually touched David (De Gea) so he blocked it. I don’t see the consistency of VAR and decision-making.”

“You can take it if it’s a good goal but it was offside,” Solskjaer told the BBC.

As a result of this defeat, Manchester United is stuck in fourth place in the Premier League standings with 13 points.
