Stefano Pioli: Daniel Maldini Has Extraordinary Talents
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Stefano Pioli made a surprise when AC Milan hosted Verona at the San Siro, Sunday (2/2/2020). He played Daniel Maldini, who is none other than the son of the club legend, Paolo Maldini.
Daniel Maldini felt his debut in Serie A in the 23rd week. He was included to replace Samu Castillejo in injury time.
As a decision maker, Stefano Pioli said he was thrilled with what had been done by playing Maldini. According to him, the player has extraordinary talent.
“Daniel has quality, he has extraordinary talent. But of course that’s not enough to be a great player. I hope he can master the ball longer, “Pioli said as quoted by Football Italia, Monday (02/03/2020).
To note, Daniel Maldini is the third generation of the Maldini family. The 18-year-old player is the son of Paolo Maldini and grandson of Cesare Maldini.
Interestingly, his father and grandfather were AC Milan legends and only played for the club nicknamed the Rossoneri throughout their career. However, Daniel chose a different position from his father. If Paolo played as a center back, Daniel Maldini chose to become an attacking midfielder. Apart from this, he is expected to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather by continuing to be in Milan until retirement.
