DBasia.news – AC Milan qualified for the top 32 of the 2020/2021 Europa League after winning Group H with a score of 13 points.
Playing at the San Siro in Week 11 of Serie A against Parma on Monday (14/12) am, Milan drew dramatically after they nearly lost their first season in Serie A.
Two of Parma’s goals was scored by Hernani Azevedo Junior (13 ‘) and Jasmin Kurtic (56’) and were replied to by Theo Hernandez (58 ‘). Hernandez became the protagonist who saved Milan with a dramatic second goal in 90 + 1 minutes.
The playing mentality of Alessio Romagnoli and his team mates received praise from the coach, Stefano Pioli. According to him Milan has a strong desire and also ‘heart’ when competing.
“It remains a challenging night, as we had some difficulties, especially the injuries of Gabbia and Bennacer,” Pioli told Sky Sport Italia.
“Regarding the game, for the first time I would say we did not have the right approach and were a little slow.”
“Parma did well, we could have equalized earlier and didn’t do it, but this is a team with heart and desire. That’s okay.”
“Obviously, we wanted to win and we had a chance to do that. Parma took two shots on goal, but we also made mistakes on those two goals.”
“We weren’t that sharp in the second half, but it can happen when you put so much passion into catching up, put players into the penalty box and try to get them back on track,” explained Pioli.
As a result, Milan are still at the top of the standings and five points adrift of city rivals, Inter Milan in second place. Another fact of the result is Milan’s unbeaten record.
Not only have they made an unbeaten record this season in Serie A, according to Opta Milan is now the only team among Europe’s top five leagues that have not lost since the first lockdown of the corona virus in March-April 2020.
The presence of Milan in the competition for the Scudetto has made this season’s competition even more exciting to watch. Milan, Inter, Napoli, and the reigning champions nine times in a row, Juventus will compete for it this season.
