DBasia.news – In the match with Dinamo Zagreb, Sterling and Foden were considered the stars of the field. Without a goal from both of them, Manchester City will receive a draw against Dinamo Zagreb.
Manchester City winger, Raheem Sterling, supports his teammate, Phil Foden, [19] for a call to England’s senior national team.
Sterling and Foden each scored in Man City’s most recent Champions League match. Interestingly, both appeared as substitutes.
In the second match of Group C, City defeated Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday (2/10) AM.
Sterling opened the Citizens advantage in the 66th minute.
“I support Phil [Foden] and I want him in the senior England national team! If he can be consistent, he will be there soon,” Sterling said after the match.
While Foden, who received Sterling’s assist, sealed his team’s victory in the final minutes of the match.
“That requires a change in tempo and Raheem [Sterling] did that well,” said Foden.
“It’s all about enjoying your time on the Field. I’m glad to be able to score goals and help the team,” stated the player who plays as a midfielder.
“You have to show the manager the results from training every day. Every young player would want to play regularly, but you have to be patient,” he added.
In the English Premier League this season, Foden has only been demoted once plus scored one goal.
England will travel to face the Czech Republic and Bulgaria in the continuing 2020 Group A Euro Qualification on October 12 and 15.
