Steve Nicol Says Mohamed Salah is Vital for the Reds

DBasia.news –  Liverpool legend, Steve Nicol, thinks Mohamed Salah is vital for the Reds. When the Egyptian player is absent, then the Red’s front line becomes less great.

“Every time Salah is absent for any reason and you get Origi as his successor, there is a huge loss of quality,” Nicol said at Soccerway.

“Sometimes you can get away with it if you have Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane at the top of the game. However, Firmino and Mane are also not good enough against Manchester United. “

Liverpool drew 1-1 with Manchester United in the continued English League match at Old Trafford last weekend. In that match, Salah was absent and his place was replaced by Divock Origi.

Without Salah, Liverpool’s game does not go as usual. There is no dangerous stab from the right which is usually done by the Egyptian player.

Liverpool were even left behind by Marcus Rashford’s goal, before Adam Lallana finally replied at the end of the second half.

“We all talk about Firmino and how he connects all lines, but everything falls apart when the ball approaches him.  “United’s opponents are not a good day, but Liverpool certainly misses Salah,” Nicol stated.

Despite failing to win, Liverpool remained at the top of the English League table. The Reds are five points ahead of Manchester City who are below.
