DBasia.news –  The 2018 Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors against River Plate was supposed to be conducted on Sunday (25/11). But, the Superclasico match was postponed due to fans attack to the bus of Boca players and coaching staff.

The match between Boca against Plate isn’t just a regular match, but it’s a Superclasico considering the intense rivalry among the biggest and historic clubs in Argentina. Moreover, this year Superclasico happened during the Copa Libertadores final or the Champions League of South America.

The enthusiasm could be seen from the crowd before the match. Unfortunately, the fanatism was broken due to the action of the host fans who threw the rocks to Boca’s bus. They also spread the tear gas and made some Boca players hurt.

The police dismissed the crowd by the tear gas. BBC Sport reported some Boca players, including Carlos Tevez, feels dizzy, nausea, and vomiting due to the tear gas. Moreover, Pablo Perez and Gonzalo Lamardo rushed to the hospital due to the scar from the broken window bus.

“They’re forcing us to play this game. We’re in no condition to play…this is also a problem due to the society in which we live. We’re all responsible for this,” Tevez said cited by Mirror.

Furthermore, in that situation, CONEMBOL continued the match postponed for more than two hours despite the unconducive situation.

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, as reported by Juan Arango, wanted to continue the match unless Boca would be disqualified. “I want a person responsible for this, but the game has to be played,” Infantino said cited by TyC Sports.

Eventually, the match was postponed until Monday (26/11). CONEMBOL took the decision to postpone in for 24 hours.
