Tevez Asked Messi Not to Leave Argentina National Team

DBasia.news – When Europe countries are planning to maintain the quality to play at the highest level, Argentina and AFA (Argentine Football Association) still stuck in not too important matters.
Self-ego, the conflict between AFA and Argentina legend, and the slow regeneration of Argentina national team squad are three main problems of Argentina’s football. That’s why no wonder that Argentina didn’t have strong squad during the 2018 World Cup and driven out during the 16-groups qualification.
Argentina’s chance to qualify the group phase also came with a great effort, by winning 2-1 versus Nigeria in the last match. Besides those problems, Albiceleste also relied on Lionel Messi.
The five Ballon d’Or expression during the match showed everything: anxiety and under pressure. La Pulga was given great pressure to give a prestigious title for Argentina, also the whole country. Moreover, there is a never-ending comparison to Diego Maradona.
As a result, Messi failed to show his best performance when playing for Barcelona. In his 31s, the public asked Messi to retire. The second retirement plan previously was in 2015.
But Carlos Tevez, Messi’s compatriot who once played for Argentina national team, rejects the idea. The former Manchester United and Manchester City striker asked Messi to keep playing and lead the new generation.
“I think Leo has to think about himself. He has to think that, if there is not a project that makes him happy and in which he feels comfortable, it is very difficult to take the responsibility of leading Argentina to become champions by himself,” said Tevez to ESPN.
We are wasting a lot of time not having him happy and not being able to give him a hand to achieve that target. I think we are wrong in not being able to help him feel comfortable. Now (I tell him) to rest, keep a cool head and try to be well, then we need him to take charge and on the pitch.”
“We need him because he is the soul of Argentina and, as long as he continues playing football, it has to be that way,” Tevez emphasized.
It’s interesting to see who will be Messi’s next coach in Argentina. Moreover, Jorge Sampaole left his career as Argentina Coach. It is rumored that AFA is now approaching Peru national team coach, Ricardo Gareca.
