DBasia.news – Police in the UK have arrested a 12-year-old boy in connection with a message containing racist abuse sent to Crystal Palace attacker, Wilfried Zaha, on social media.

The racial attack was carried out by fans of Aston Villa through Instagram’s Direct Message (DM) service. Surprisingly, the perpetrator was only 12 years old.

Zahameng uploaded a racist message on Twitter. In addition to the message, photographs of black faces and a meeting with the Ku Klux Klan which is a white hatred group against black people in the United States were also included.

“You better not score tomorrow, black bastard. Or I will come to your house dressed as a ghost,” reads a message written on an Instagram account named @ jackackolan_avfc.

Luckily it was immediately responded immedietly by the West Midlands Police. Not long after, law enforcement officers managed to identify the perpetrator who turned out to be a minor and lived in the Solihull area.

“We previously received information about a series of racist messages sent to a footballer today. After investigating and checking, we have arrested a boy,” the West Midlands Police statement wrote on Twitter.

“The 12-year-old from Solihull has been taken into custody. Thank you to all those who raised this issue. Racism will not be tolerated.”

The perpetrator might have done this with the aim of intimidating Zaha. He certainly wants his idol team to win to avoid the threat of relegation.

But what he did was clearly excessive. Moreover, the Premier League continues to campaign for anti-racism since the competition resumed with the Black Lives Matter patch on all players jerseys.

Aston Villa also acted quickly in response to this problem. They plan to forbid the suspect from coming to their stadium for the rest of his life.

“We deplore the disgusting racist message sent to Wilfried zaha. We condemn all forms of racial discrimination and side with Crystal Palace,” wrote Aston Villa’s statement via Twitter.
