The Valencia vs Atletico Madrid Match Ended in a Draw

DBasia.news – A fierce duel occurred when Valencia hosted Atletico Madrid. But Los Colchoneros who had twice won had to be satisfied with the final 2-2 draw.
Atletico traveled to Valencia’s headquarters, Estadio Mestala in Week 24 of the Spanish League on Saturday (2/15/2020) AM. This match was tight with both teams exchanging attacks.
Valencia did appear more dominant in possession of the ball by 63.5 percent. However, the visitors were able to perform effectively to offset the pressure of the black bat.

However, the wild ball actually lead to Llorente. The 25-year-old midfielder calmly snatched it to shake Jaume Domenech’s goal.
Disadvantaged, Valencia tried to appear more attacking to equalize. Their pressure only produced a goal in the 40th minute.
Daniel Parejo’s corner kick headed towards Maxi Gomez. He controlled the ball well using his chest before releasing the bait in front of Atletico’s goal.
Gomez’s ball was successfully headed by Gabriel. The score changed to 1-1.
However, this draw only lasted three minutes. Los Rojiblancos were able to regain the lead through the action of Thomas Partey.
The Ghanaian player kicked off a horizontal strike that failed to be blocked by Domenech. Being ahead 2-1 Atletico held out until halftime.
In the 58th minute, Geoffrey Kandogbia scored Valencia’s second goal in this match. Parejo returned to being Valencia’s goal creator.
The free kick bait from the left side met Kandogbia. The former Inter player passed it on to stride off Jan Oblak.
Afterwards, the fight went fiercely with the two teams exchanging attacks. However, in the remaining time both Valencia and Atletico failed to convert their chances into goals.
That made the 2-2 draw closed the match at Mestala.
An additional one point has now made Valencia in 6th place with 38 points. Meanwhile, Atletico are still stuck in 4th place with 40 points.
