DBasia.news – Tottenham is rumored to be considering to recruit Atletico Madrid defender, Stefan Savic on the exchange this summer. The player has been one of Diego Simeone’s key players since 2015.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham are reportedly interested in recruiting Atletico Madrid defender, Stefan Savic, the Montenegro international player has become one of the key players for Diego Simeone’s team since being brought in from the Italian club, Fiorentina in 2015.

However, the 29-year-old player has been struggling with injuries this season and has made Simeone prefer to play Mario Hermoso and Felipe Monteiro as his first choice as a partner in defense. While the Spurs boss, Jose Mourinho is plunging into the market in search of players to strengthen his team’s defense before the 2020/21 season.

Belgian international player, Jan Vertonghen will leave north London when his contract expires at the end of June, and La Liga club, Real Betis are reportedly eyeing the 33-year-old player’s services. His free transfer status has made many clubs interested in the Ajax defender.

While Los Rojiblancos did not open the possibility to sell Savic as Simeone wanted to avoid the exodus of star players like last summer. However, further news stated that the agreement could be realized if the Premier League club made an offer of around 20 million euros (around Rp. 320 billion) and Savic also did not seem to be offered a big role in Diego Simeone’s main squad next season.
