Shunki Higashi was the first player who scored the goal of U19 Japan at 40′.

He created the goal from long kick. The ball went to the corner of U19 Indonesia national team net, couldn’t be anticipated by Muhamad Riyandi. Japan scored another goal at 70′ by Taisei Miyashiro.

“In the first half, Indonesia were really defensive. We didn’t have any chance to attack. In that situation, I decided to kick and score the goal. It calmed us down.”

“I think the goal was the best in my football career so far. But I will keep on trying and hopefully, I could score more goals in the near future,” Shunki Higashi explained.
