Unai Emery Calls Eden Hazard the most dangerous player at Chelsea

DBasia.news –  The London derby will take place at the Baku Olympic Stadium, Azerbaijan, between Arsenal and Chelsea on Thursday (5/30) morning Western Indonesian Time in the Europa League final. Arsenal manager Unai Emery knows how to stop Chelsea.

The way Emery revealed it is quite simple: shut Eden Hazard down. According to the Spanish manager, stopping Hazard could increase the chances of the Gunners winning victory over Maurizio Sarri’s Blues.

It’s no secret that Hazard is the life of Chelsea. The 28-year-old Belgian star can differentiate the final result of the match with the quality of play.

Emery did not even hesitate to say Hazard as the world’s best quartet of players, approaching levels: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and level with playing levels Neymar and Mohamed Salah.

“We know Chelsea very well, the team with high quality and physical level. Hazard is the best player at the moment, especially in decisive moments. This is what we must avoid,” Emery told the El Mundo.

“Chelsea can win thanks and the ability that I only see in (Lionel) Messi, Cristiano (Ronaldo), Neymar, or (Mohamed) Salah. For me, he is the best quartet in the world,” he continued.

Chelsea quality and complete team. Sarri emphasized the collectivity of play and Hazard like cherries on a cake: perfecting Chelsea’s game.

“(Manchester) City, for example, won the second Premier League (in a row) but did it more with the collective. This (Chelsea) is more like a complete team, like Tottenham (Hotspur), despite contributions from Harry Kane and Son (Heung-min),” Emery explained.

Winning the Europa League will be a great achievement for Emery who has won three Europa League titles. Moreover, Arsenal have not won the European title since 1994 and last won the title (any title) in the 2017 FA Cup.

Emery admitted it was his duty to return Arsenal as a competitive team to win the trophy. The ex-coach of Sevilla and PSG did not promise the trophy, however, he promised his team would fight to take it.

“I do not promise titles, I promise to compete. What has been done (Arsene) Wenger at this club is very big. He gives a touch of quality to make the game more flowing and beautiful, but slowly he loses competitive DNA,” added Emery.

“That was the message conveyed to me and also the reason (the club) contracted me when I was interviewed by Raul Sanllehi (Head of Arsenal Recruitment) and club owner.”

“The economic potential (Manchester) of United, City or Liverpool is better than us, but through history and structure, Arsenal are among the top 10 clubs in Europe and we must be there again,” he said firmly.
