Wimbledon’s Final and 2018 World Cup’s Final at the Same Time

DBasia.news – The committee of Wimbledon won’t give way even if England national team make it to the final round of 2018 World Cup. They will insist on conducting the final, as planned.
The 2018 Wimbledon final will be held at 2 pm local time, Sunday (15/7). Meanwhile, the final round of 2018 World Cup will be held 2 hours later.
Many people worry about this clashed schedule. Wimbledon is the pride tournament of British.
Nonetheless, Richard Lewis, CEO of Wimbledon won’t give way. Lewis said that the 2018 Wimbledon final is scheduled according to the tradition.
“We have said for a couple of years that the final will be played at 2 pm, as it is every year,” Lewis said to BBC Sports.
Previously, the cricket tournament agreed to give way for the 2018 World Cup. They will adjust the schedule differently with England versus Russia match.
England and Wales Cricket Board said that it wasn’t due to the World Cup. It was rescheduled due to night tour advice.
