Zinedine Zidane Promises Real Madrid Will Fight to the End
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said he promised to keep his squad fighting until the end of the season. The 2020-2021 season is Zinedine Zidane’s worst season while coaching Real Madrid.
Zidane’s position is actually on the edge. The threat of dismissal continues after Madrid fell to Levante in the last match.
The defeat made Madrid’s chances to defend the LaLiga title increasingly closed. Sergio Ramos and his friends are now ten points behind the top standings, Atletico Madrid.
But that didn’t make Zidane fly the white flag. He still believes he can present the title at the end of the season.
“We will try to win trophies because Real Madrid is a big club and we will fight until the end. There are two competitions ahead and we will give everything,” said Zidane on the club’s official website.
“There are 54 points at stake in LaLiga and we have six games to play again in the Champions League. We will fight for both competitions until the end.”
As a coach who has presented various prestigious trophies for Madrid, Zidane is certainly confident that he can get through this situation. He didn’t worry at all about being fired.
In addition, Zidane is also reluctant to answer rumors regarding the possibility of him ending his term of office at the end of the season. He just wants to focus on bringing Madrid back to winning ways.
“I am very lucky to be here and I will make the most of it until the last day. Just because people want me to give up doesn’t mean I will give up, and neither will the players,” he added.
Madrid’s revival mission can be started when they travel to Huesca’s headquarters. Results other than the victory against the promotion team could make Zidane completely out of work.
