11 Bad days for Liverpool

By db-admin

DBasia.news –   Within 11 days of the 2019-20 season Liverpool had lost their dreams.

Liverpool had a promising report card since the beginning of the season. In the Premier League, Mohamed Salah and his colleagues were in their prime and was undefeated and only had one draw. Not surprisingly, the Reds are at the top of the standings and were superior with more than 20 points.

Unfortunately, the record failed to be extended when Liverpool visited Watford headquarters. The Reds did not flinch to face the team in the red zone.

On Saturday (29/2), Liverpool came to the Watford headquarters with full confidence. Although, in the match in the Champions League, Liverpool defeated Atletico Madrid 1-0 at Wanda Metropolitano.

However, Liverpool’s confidence is not enough. The Reds was conceded three times by the Watfor players. Meanwhile, there were so many opportunities that Liverpool have gained that resulted in a goal.

The inaugural defeat has made Liverpool fail to follow Arsenal’s incision that never fell in one season. One of Liverpool’s wish list failed to be realized.

The defeat has made the Liverpool player’s mentality began to waver. In the next match against Chelsea in the FA Cup (3/3), Liverpool returned home with their heads down. The Blues won 2-0 thanks to goals from Willian and Ross Barkley.

The defeat in the knockout stages made Liverpool be kicked out. As a result, Mohamed Salah and his collagues failed to win the treble this season.

Liverpool got up in the next match against Bournemouth (7/3). The Reds won 2-1 when playing at Anfield.

However, apparently Liverpool’s mentality have not fully recovered. Despite appearing at Anfield which is considered one of the most difficult stadiums to conquer, Liverpool lost 2-3 at home to Atletico Madrid (11/3).

With that result, Liverpool were only able to advance to the top 16 of the Champions League. The Reds also failed to defend the title won last season.

Three defeats within 11 days has made Liverpool fail to carve gold ink. Now, Liverpool’s hopes are in the Premier League.
