Liverpool successfully showed their original quality

The results that had made them scattered to fourth position and made them be in the spotlight. Not to mention, Liverpool faced this match with many players entering the treatment room.

“A team of our quality shouldn’t lose. Every defeat feels bad to see this competition run. We got up in the best way we could. Excellent performance,” said Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold as quoted by BBC Sport.

“This is what we needed, nothing less, nothing more. They were solid from the start and difficult to break down, but we scored those goals and sealed the game. It’s nice to keep a clean sheet too.”

“We were aggressive in the first half but couldn’t make the most of it. We pressed in the first 15-20 minutes of the second half like we always do. We dominated them, we were all over the pitch. The performance in the second half was incredible.”

This victory led Liverpool to second place in the Premier League standings with 25 points, four points behind Chelsea at the top.
