2 Goals Ahead, Lautaro Martinez Didn’t Expect Inter Milan to be Defeated from Dortmund
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Inter Milan’s defeat from Borussia Dortmund has made Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez, surprised. As Inter Milan were superior by winning two goals in the first round before finally Dortmund succeeded in catching up with that goal.
Inter Milan fell 2-3 in the hands of Dortmund in the continuing Champions League match at Signal Iduna Park Stadium, Wednesday (11/06/2019). In the first half, Inter managed to outperform the home side with two goals from Martinez and Matias Vecino.
However, Dortmund played more aggressively after halftime. Three goals were successfully created through Achraf Hakimi (2 goals), and Julian Brandt to ensure a comeback.
“We did very well in the first round, but we were a completely different team in the second round. “Maybe we showed a lack of maturity, because we changed completely after the break,” Martinez told Sky Sport Italia.
“It’s not physical, it’s lack of concentration and intensity more than anything. We are 2-0 up, we can’t lose 2-3. That can’t happen. We have to mature and grow to play at this level. “
“We have not lost hope of qualifying, we have been left behind from the start in this group, but we can do it,” Martinez added.
With this result,
Dortmund is ranked second in the group standings after collecting seven points,
three ahead of Inter in third and only one point adrift of Barcelona at the
top.
