About Antoine Griezmann’s Transfer Issue, Barcelona Fined 300 Euros
By db-admin
DBasia.news – RFEF, the Spanish Football Federation, sentenced a fine of 300 euros to Barcelona regarding the transfer of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
As is known, Atletico objected to the purchase of 120 million euros issued by Barca to recruit Griezmann, because according to them Griezmann should have been bought for 200 million euros – the price before there was a change in the transfer clause.
Atletico believes Barcelona have already discussed with the player directly before there is a change in his transfer clause. But according to RFEF, there is no strong evidence from Atletico if Barca took that personal approach.
“This committee is aware that the 300 euro fine, regardless of its symbolic nature, will not lead to penalties for clubs and possibly other clubs in the same situation in the future following existing regulations,” a statement from RFEF was quoted as saying by Marca.
“But that reason is not strong enough for the committee to provide other penalties – such as closing down the stadium – because it relates to other laws.”
Griezmann became one of the newer players recruited by Barca this summer besides Junior Firpo, Frenkie de Jong, and Neto
