AC Milan reportedly Interfere with Inter Milan Hunting Dries Mertens
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Rossoneri reportedly wants to bring Dries Mertens in the upcoming transfer market. However, AC Milan tried to disrupt the negotiations between the Napoli striker and Inter Milan.
Previously, Inter Milan was reported to have been one step away from securing the hand of Dries Mertens. The Nerazzurri plan to bring the Belgian in the transfer window at the end of the season. Because, that way, Inter don’t need to spend money because Mertens’s contract with Napoli has ended.
However, Inter Milan’s plans are trying to be disturbed by AC Milan. Il Diavolo Rosso does not mind having to complete negotiations on the 2020 winter transfer market. That means, Milan will not bring Mertens for free.
Milan’s desire can be understood. Because at this time they need a new bang after the front lines appear disappointing.
So far, Milan has only scored 11 goals in 12 Serie A matches. The number is fairly small for a club with a reputation like Milan. In comparison, the current highest goal holder is Atalanta with 30 goals.
One of the causes of Milan’s difficult to score is the sharpness of Krzysztof Piatek which declined. Not surprisingly, Milan plans to find a replacement as soon as possible.
Currently, Dries Mertens is still a mainstay in the Napoli attack. The 32-year-old won seven goals in 15 matches.
Besides Mertens, Milan has also prepared another alternative, Mario Mandzukic. The Croatian has not had the chance to appear this season at Juventus.
However, the Rossoneri also have competitors in the Mandzukic recruit competition. Reportedly, Manchester United has established communication with the bomber since a few months ago.
