AC Milan Value Piatek No Longer Sharp
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Krzysztof Piatek’s performance is considered down since the start of the season. The AC Milan team assessed that the sharpness of Piatek decreased, seen from the game and the goals produced.
Piatek just made five goals from 19 appearances with Milan this season. The 24-year-old attacker was even sidelined in the last two parties because of his sharpness.
Even though last season the Polish player was so vicious in the opponent’s penalty box. Piatek scored 11 goals in 21 appearances for the Rossoneri in half the season, after being recruited from Genoa in the January transfer window.
Piatek said his contribution that came down was inseparable from the broke down in the club. Previously, Milan did have a problem with club ownership, where the old owner, Li Yonghong, failed to pay the debt.
The club was in the process taken over by Elliott Management, who gave a loan to Li. This transfer of ownership has at least given stability to the club, Piatek believes it’s only a matter of time before the team finds its best game again and he will score goals again.
“I look at myself in the mirror, look deep inside myself to understand my mistakes. Before there was too much chaos at this club, the players felt it,” he told TVP Sport quoted by Football Italia.
“At first, as a team, we didn’t create many scoring opportunities and the attackers depended on this. Now we have improved and it’s just a matter of time before I finally fire again, I can do it.”
“For journalists in Italy, one day you are the Pope in football and another day you are the worst player. But I accept it. None of these people put myself in my position, the covers of newspapers cannot influence me,” he added.
