Ajax’s Victory Record Ends in Willem’s Hands
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Ajax was defeated by their Guest, Willem II with 0-2 in the Week 16 match of the Dutch League at the Johan Cruijff Arena Stadium, Amsterdam. This result ended their defeated champions’ record since the start of the season.
Mike Ndayishimiye’s penalty which was followed by Damil Dankerlui’s goal was unable to be returned by Ajax who appeared dominant but failed to convert any of the 29 attempted shots throughout the match.
The result was unlike the contradiction of the 5-2 landslide victory that Ajax had booked in the previous match.
Despite losing to Ajax’s position at the top of the standings, they are safe for at least a week ahead. Ajax are still collecting 41 points or six points ahead of AZ Alkmaar who haven’t played their 16th week of matches, while Wilem (29) temporarily displaced PSV Eindhoven (28) from third place.
