DBasia.news –  The impressive performance of Japanese player, Takumi Minamino,  while competing with Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League has caught Andrew Robertson’s attention. The Liverpool left back welcomed the arrival of Minamino, who he considered to be fit to play with Liverpool.

Liverpool officially brought in the 24-year-old player from RB Salzburg as the first player to be brought in for the winter transfer market which will open in January 2020.

The player who plays as an attacking midfielder will join his new club when the transfer period opens in January 2020. Nevertheless, the two clubs have officially reached an agreement for the player.

“Overall we had difficulties when facing RB Salzburg, but I think Takumi Minamino was their best player in that period,” Robertson said as quoted by Goal.

“Minamino was a player who gave us difficulty in the matches we had at Anfield. When we were three goals ahead, Minamino started to set the tempo of the match. “

“Minamino showed high aggressiveness and was able to achieve goals and assists. That might be the reason why Jurgen Klopp was interested in bringing him in and knowing his talent more deeply. “In the two matches that we played, Minamino showed an outstanding performance, but I didn’t know more than that,” he added.

Minamino’s arrival in Liverpool is expected to bring a breath of fresh air for the Reds. Not only that, the Japanese player is also expected to improve the quality of Liverpool’s attack line which is currently filled by Roberto Firmino, Xherdan Shaqiri, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

With the depth of the squad as such, it could be one factor for Jurgen Klopp’s squad to achieve the Premier League title that has been dreamed of by Liverpool.
