DBasia.news – AC Milan striker, Ante Rebic revealed Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s words before the match against Juventus. AC Milan successfully made an extraordinary comeback in the match against Juventus in the continued Serie A, Wednesday (07/08/2020).

Milan have played an impressive game since Serie A resumed during the pandemic. From seven matches, the Rossoneri have won five wins and two draws.

Though the opponents faced by Milan are not just any team. AS Roma, Lazio, and Juventus are among the victims of Stefano Pioli’s squad.

After beating Juventus last week, Ibrahimovic bragged that Milan would win the Scudetto if he had joined since the start of the season. The Swedish attacker had arrived in January.

The statement has certainly made Ibrahimovic appear arrogant. But an interesting thought was expressed by his team mate, Ante Rebic.

Rebic stated that Ibrahimovic did play an important role in changing Milan’s mentality. One proof was shown when they beat Juventus with a score of 4-2.

“We need him, Ibra is a leader. Before the match against Juve, he told us that he would show the Juventus players how to play football,” Rebic told Sportweek.

“That is the way to arouse our (motivation).”

Although appearing to be arrogant, Ibrahimovic was able to prove his quality on the field. Of the 13 appearances in Serie A since January, the 28-year-old player has scored five goals and three assists.

Milan’s performance has also increased significantly since the arrival of Ibrahimovic. Inter Milan city rivals are now ranked seventh after being knocked out of the top ten.

“He has brought so many things to everyone. When he says something, most of the players are silent but if I don’t have the same opinion as him, I will tell him, “he added. Even so, Ibrahimovic’s future with Milan is still uncertain. There has been no discussion related to the contract extension of the attacker that will finish at the end of this season.
